VINCENT KABORE

Always teamed up with his friend Dominique, Vincent is a finisher at Maison Intègre. He gained interest in bronze while he was in high school. “I think bronze was calling me back then “. Every Thursday and Sunday when he was not at school, he would go to the art center opened in his childhood village. There he would take his first steps. “I can say with hindsight that I was privileged because it is a rare case to have an art center in a village. Luckily, mine had one.” He kept on going until he finally decided to abandon school to fully enroll into the bronze work in 1998. To him, bronze is a rewarding activity where he can see the tangible result of his hours of dedication. “To be able to make something gives me great satisfaction. I’m always happy to say that I made it with my own hands.”

In 2001, he teamed up with Dominique, another finisher who he met while working with several bronziers. “As a finisher, I always work in teams.” They both joined the network of Maison Intègre artisans in December 2020. Since then, he has been one of the main finishers of Maison Intègre. “Maison Intègre brought me a lot in terms of expertise. I tried new ways of working the bronze, especially the use of precise measurements and specification sheets. I wasn’t taught to work that way and thanks to Maison Intègre, I can now.”
